Bristol Brunel Academy
A key stage for the success of bristol school
Bristol Brunel Academy was the first BSF School to open in September 2007. With over 1000 11-16 year olds plus a further 100 sixth formers, the school offers state of the art facilities. Installing Supacord from Heckmondwike FB, the UK's leading supplier of fibre bonded carpets and carpet tiles, throughout the new school was a popular choice.
In fact, Bristol was so impressed with the Heckmondwike product, that over 5,500m2
Supacord Tiles in Kingston Grey, Kingfisher and Heather were installed through other schools in
the Bristol Scheme.
Supacord has become firmly established as the leading fibre bonded contract carpet solution for the UK education sector. Designed to be hard wearing and versatile, it's resilient specification makes Supacord the perfect choice in area's of heavy foot traffic.
And with sustainable schools being at the fore of the Bristol BSF scheme, Brunel Academy achieved a ‘very good' standard in the BREEAM building assessment. This was helped by the installation of Supacord, which has been certified with an ‘A' rating in the BRE Green Guide to Specification.
Robert Mortimer, Sales Director for Heckmondwike FB said, "Offered in a wide choice of colours and the flexibility of carpet or carpet tiles, Supacord can withstand the daily demands of a busy school or college. It's proven track record in the education sector gives design teams, contractors and end-users the confidence to use it on new projects." With the government commitment to the BSF scheme, Supacord is now proving to be a popular choice throughout the country, with many authorities following Bristol's lead.
