Leeds PFI

The first wave of Leeds Combined Secondary Schools Project and one of the country’s largest education PFI schemes has been completed. Pupils at Primrose High and Shakespeare Primary schools in Leeds started the autumn term in their new buildings complete with state-of-the-art facilities. Montage carpet tiles by Heckmondwike FB were installed across both Primrose High School and Shakespeare Primary School (which includes an Early Learning Centre) where they occupy a single site providing education for 2-19 years.

Pupils who returned to the new look following their summer break, are now enjoying studying in style and comfort, thanks to the impressive installation from Yorkshire Flooring Contractor, Hurst. Doug Norris, Area Sales Manager for Heckmondwike FB said, “Montage was selected for its ability to withstand heavy foot traffic coupled with its long lasting durable performance and its prominent design. All of which fitted in with the new buildings perfectly.”

Montage is a product innovation from Heckmondwike FB. It has a rib on rib design, creating a distinctive, random textured, design surface structure, which is more typically associated with its tufted counterparts.

The two layer structure of the product offers noise reduction benefits, while its thermal properties conserve heat. Montage’s excellent functionality is essential in the education sector, as durable, yet aesthetically pleasing flooring is in high demand. Montage is available in 18 striking colourways, offering design flair to the Heckmondwike FB fibre bonded range.
